Kathleen Kellaigh, the artistic director of ATC Studios, is the director of Agatha Christies’s Witness for the Prosecution. Several ATC students and alumni are involved both on and off stage. Show dates are October 21, 22, 23 & 28, 29, 30. Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. All performances will be at The Theater at School No 3, 365 Washington Ave, Clifton, NJ.
When Leonard Vole, a charming, naïve young man, is arrested for the sensational murder of a rich, middle-aged widow, the famous barrister (lawyer) Sir Wilfrid Robarts agrees to appear in court on his behalf. Vole’s only alibi is his wife, a calm and cold foreigner, Romaine. The barrister for the prosecution, Myers, finds a hook to have Romaine testify not for the defense but for the prosecution, creating a most disheartening situation. True to Agatha Christie’s engaging plots, there are twists and turns that will leave the audience gasping.
