Teens in Middle and High School, be part of an exciting new project:
"The Way It Is."
ATC is now accepting SHORT (10 minutes or under), one-act scripts that show how YOU see the world. You may submit directly to ATC by emailing as a .doc to atcstudios3@gmail.com. (Please do NOT send as a .docx. Save and send as a .doc) If you live in Passaic County and attend public school, you may be involved in this project through your language arts department. DEADLINE IS MARCH 15.
Pieces will be read by professionals and teachers, 10-12 will be selected for production in late spring. Those scenes will be directed and cast through ATC. Audience and a panel of "judges" composed of professionals, will select three to also be featured on the internet-- so your piece could be seen around the world!
Guidelines:
10 minute (or under) scenes (that's about 10 pages of dialogue -- long speeches by one character adds time so you may want to read aloud to get a timing on it).
1-10 characters

When you are part of our summer workshops and NYC showcase programs--you'll have the summer of your life, AND get a NYC performance credit on your resume! Who knows? Maybe you'll even get picked up by one of the agents and managers who attend each year.
Auditions are now OPEN for the 2012 workshops, on a personal level! Interested? Schedule early! We will be doing open auditions in May and June pending the slots being filled. 20 slots in each workshop (Kids & Teens/Young Adults) CALL NOW 973.772.6998 or email info@atcstudios.org to set up your personal audition time.
You'll need to prepare 1 monologue (2 minutes or under) and a song of your choice, preferably from a show. Really don't think you sing? We'll have you do "Happy Birthday..." And we'll be giving you a simple dance combination. Participants in the summer program need to show a strength in at least one of the disciplines: acting, singing, dance. We tailor the showcases around YOUR strengths.
Schedule for 2012: June 25-last week of July: Workshops in Clifton, NJ 9:30-1:30 Mon-Fri (plenty of time for summer jobs or pool). Performances in NYC July 23, 24 for kids, July 25 & 26 for teens/young adults.
For the whole program:
Kids (over 85 hours of training/rehearsal + NYC Showcase) $1000
Teens/Young Adults (over 95 hours of training/rehearsal + NYC Showcase) $1100.
